Some weekends, the house barely gets a chance to catch up with the people living in it.
Someone leaves early in the morning. Another person comes home around lunch, drops a bag near the door, changes clothes, grabs a drink, and heads back out. By late afternoon, the kitchen has already been used several times, the bathroom counter looks different from the way it did that morning, and shoes seem to have appeared in places nobody remembers leaving them.
Nothing particularly messy happened.
